Emporio: A Meatball Joint-a casual and fast paced restaurant concept featuring craft beers and cocktails. Locations are in Wexford, PA and Downtown Pittsburgh on the first floor of Sienna Mercato.

Mezzo-specializing in charcuturie and wood fired pizzas from our scratch kitchen and an extensive wine list from multiple countries and regions.  Mezzo is located in Downtown Pittsburgh on the 2nd floor of Sienna Mercato.

Il Tetto-a rooftop beer garden open year-round due to its retractable roof and featuring craft beers and cocktails. Il Tetto is located in Downtown Pittsburgh on the 3rd floor of Sienna Mercato.

Sienna on the Square-our flagship restaurant with an award winning kitchen featuring simple and creative Italian dishes made from scratch and a variety of craft beers, wine, and creative cocktails.

Job Description:

The Restaurant Sous Chef serves as the assistant to the Executive Chef and participates in the management of the kitchen, the food preparation process and other administrative duties.  Duties include, but are not limited, to the list below:

  • Assist in the planning of menus and promotions.
  • Deal with guest needs indirectly through the service staff.
  • Properly store all food, which must be covered, dated and rotated on a daily basis.
  • Manage staff under the direction of the Executive of Head Chef.  
  • Assist with the enforcement of sanitation and safe food handling standards.
  • Deal with guest or employee issues as related to the kitchen.  
  • Maintain effective communication with co-workers and managers.
  • Work in a team setting when required.
  • Work independently when required.
  • Train new and current kitchen staff on Restaurant processes and expectations.

Position Requirements:

  • Previous restaurant experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced setting.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment when required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
